My Technorati Profile

I just finished setting up My Technorati Profile (along with about a dozen other social networking Web site profiles).

What is Technorati?

Technorati is an RSS directory at the most basic level, but it is without a doubt one of the most important RSS sites on the Web for driving targeted traffic back to your blog. Scores of Internet users search Technorati for blogs of a specific subject, and many are themselves bloggers.

When other users come across your blog they can add it to their favorites, link to it, or subscribe to your RSS feed. This alone will generate a substantial amount of free, highly targeted traffic for your blog. That is what we’re all after, free, highly targeted traffic.

What is Xanga?

Xanga is one of the fastest growing social sites on the
Web. It’s user friendly. you can create your very own
Blog on their site, and use the site to direct people
back to your main sites.

Did I say user friendly?
It’s very easy to join Xanga. All you have to do is go to
xanga.com and select the “Join” link in the upper right
hand corner. All they require is a user name, password,
email address, birthdate, and that you agree to their TOS.
It only takes a few minutes, and you’ll be signed up, and
logged into your Xanga site.

Get Friends, Be Social, Add Friends Using Web 2.0 Technology

One aspect of WEB 2.0 and Social Network is making connections, friends, inviting other to the community. Digg is no different.

You can search for existing Friends on Digg.

From the main Digg site, on the far right corner is a menu tab to ADD FRIENDS.

The URL will look something like this: http://digg.com/users/YOURUSERNAME/friends/list

Of course you would replace “YOURUSERNAME” with your actual Digg account name

You will see:

Add a Friend

You Can Search for you known Friends, Family members, Business Associated etc. by Email Address, Name and even by Location.

Digg, Advanced Techniques

.

When you go to Digg News you will see two tabs, Popular Stories and Upcoming stories. The upcoming stories consist of all Digg posts from each and every member based upon the most recent post.  Popular Stories are those that have received a significant number of Digg Users voting or Digging as well that particular story

Popular Posts receive the most amount of click thru’s. If you write a headline and description that grabs attention you are more than likely to attract a positive Digg Vote from other users. This method has been described as LINK BAIT.
